Chalet Uska

Outside the ski season, Combloux offers a wealth of walking and mountain biking trails to suit everyone from young families to seasoned experts. The swimming lake is just 700m away, while mountain bikers will enjoy the nearby pump track.

Nicknamed “the pearl of Mont Blanc” due to its superb views of the mountain, Combloux has a mini-market, a butcher's, a bakery, a pharmacy and several bars and restaurants. A weekly market selling local produce is organised each Wednesday morning. You will find more options in nearby Sallanches, Megève and Saint-Gervais.

And at the end of a busy day, you will look forward to relaxing in the sauna at Chalet Uska, or enjoying a drink on the terrace.

About the property …

Chalet Uska is a traditional three-storey chalet for up to 15 guests, with eight bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The garden level is where you'll find the sauna, with its own shower room. There’s also a garage, a ski store and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.

The ground floor is surrounded on three sides by a large terrace with great views of Mont Blanc. Full-height windows flood the two living areas with natural light. Separated by a central fireplace, they are furnished with comfortable armchairs and sofas. The stylish kitchen has everything you need to cater for your group, with modern appliances and a breakfast bar. Two dining tables can be used separately, perhaps for children’s meals, or joined when you want to eat together.

There are three en-suite bedrooms on this floor. The first double bedroom has a shower room with a toilet and double sink unit, and the second has a bathroom with a bath and toilet. Next door is a bunk room for four children, which has its own shower room.

On the first floor are five more bedrooms, two of which have access to a private balcony. There are three double bedrooms, two of which can be configured with twin beds, while one has a desk for remote working. Two of these rooms have en-suite shower rooms with toilets.

The last two bedrooms are linked, making them ideal for families. One has a large double bed or two singles and the other is a charming children's room with four single beds, a desk and a selection of books. There is also a shared bathroom.

On the practical side, Chalet Uska has toilets on each floor. There is room for one car in the garage and parking for several additional vehicles outside.

About the area…

Combloux, a little-known gem nicknamed “the Pearl of Mont Blanc”, is located just a few kilometres from Megève and Saint-Gervais. With a lively centre and local shops, this resort combines the charm of a traditional Savoyard village, spectacular views of Mont Blanc and the Aravis mountains, as well as numerous activities for guests of all ages.

In winter, you can access the Évasion Mont-Blanc’s 100km of slopes with a single ski pass. There’s another 192km of pistes for all levels  in the Espace Diamant, just a 30-minute drive away. Experienced skiers can ski the Vallée Blanche glacier in Chamonix, while non-skiers can enjoy snowshoeing or dog sledding.

During the rest of the year, you can explore the various hiking and biking trails of the area, or board the historic Mont-Blanc tramway for a less strenuous day out. Cool off in the ecological swimming lake in Combloux, or head to the Thermes de Saint-Gervais (12km) for spa treatments and pampering. Other activities include mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. Tennis courts are available just a 10-minute walk away, near the swimming lake.
